the company came on the phone as I was trying to contact the cell phone company.  the phone co. came on, but when I was being transfered some how this indian man came on and had a great deal for me.  Just 2.95.
I gave him my credit card and had to go through many different people to give the information all over again.  One time I hung up and they called me back.
In the end they hung up and I called the phone co to inquire if thei wa s [part of their co.  They said no way.
I called my credit card co and had my card canceled.  So

Central Rewards, this is one customer that you did not get $00.01 from.
I pray that you get stoped from the devious scam you are undermining.

There are other reports that consumers have been transferred to this scam when attempting to call their bank or insurance company.

They may be getting 800 numbers that are 1 digit different from various legitimate companies so they can pretend they are connected with them.

Similar fraudulent phone number use has occurred in the past in connection with overpriced long distance services, who got 800 numbers 1 digit different from ATT or Verizon calling card access numbers.

Block your card number, and watch your bank statements closely so you can promptly file fraud disputes should any charges slip through.

    Contact FTC.

I tried to call citibank to pay my student loans and got central rewards on the phone.  I looked at the number i dialed, and it wasnt the wrong number.  Stupidly i gave them my info, but then i found all of the complaints online.  Within 30 mins i cancelled my debit card and ordered a new one.  Within that 30 mins they had already charged my account $2.95.
Hoping they dont send me crap....
