We've been getting calls from an irate telemarketer (I guess we got on their crap list because we don't want to switch our electrical services, we've been getting these calls for YEARS and even though we asked them for years to take our number off the list, that does nothing. So, after getting a rude telemarketer who hung up on us because we told them I wasn't interested, we would just hang up on them, since talking does no good. Well, apparently one got into a snit because we did this, so whoever it is keeps calling us when they get to work in the morning and then hangs up when we pick up.
SO, WHAT TO DO?
I read a book called "I See Rude People" by Amy Alkon. In it she actually went after people and found their numbers and billed them for having to do research to stop their harassing calls (she sent them an itemized bill, she's a columnist and it was something like $60/ per hour. She even looked up and called some owners of the companies (AT HOME, ha ha!) asking them why they think it's perfectly okay to interrupt her while she's working. She advised to only do this once because we the peons could actually get in trouble for "harassing them with phone calls", never mind THEY get away with it all the time! She actually got some companies to pay her (they sent a check), others were less nice and ignored her certified letters. She even went to small claims court and sort of won...it was more of a moral victory, but still. If people started going after these BOZOS (you don't have to hire a lawyer necessarily, but if you have loads of cash lying around you can), or do some research and sue them in small claims court, they may start behaving themselves a bit more.
Maybe we can bring back the days where anonymous cowardly wimps that hide behind their computers or phone banks actually have to worry about harassing people for no good reason other than they are able to do it.

So far I'm documenting the time and day that these morons call us. Once I get enough, I'm going to find them and sue them in small claims court. Complaining does no good, but taking their MONEY sure is satisfying! Here's a great link about this subject: http://www.killthecalls.com/suing-telemarketers.html

I get calls for Health Insurance, Student Loans, Tech Support, and Investment Opportunties.  All are from numbers owned by Broadwing Communications.  I have decided to start calling the registered agent for them in my state for each and every call.  The registered agent in Missouri for Broadwing Communications is CT Corporation System in Clayton, MO.  https://bsd.sos.mo.gov/Common/CorrespondenceI ... 83483&version=1 The agents name is Kristen Bolden and the number is 314-863-5545.  I would encourage you to contact them and complain.
