Holes in clothes

This washer causes me pain on an almost weekly basis. Although I find the sucking up of small items like socks annoying, it PALES IN COMPARISON to the shredding of clothing. My kids' soccer and baseball jerseys, expensive dry weave workout clothing, thinly woven or finely woven fabrics and even plain old cotton t-shirts have come out looking like they were eaten by moths or chomped by a shark. This washer was expensive and it has been nothing short of a POS. The company denies any type of responsibility here, which I find so difficult to swallow! I am faces now with possibly having to go out and buy another washer as there is apparently no reparation possible! Oh, BTW, is it not true that Whirlpool purchased my old favorite appliance company, MAYTAG also? I wouldn't buy either product at this point if that is the case!!
