I purchased an $80 blender from this company back in April.  They were prompt to credit my credit card for the purchase, but to date I have yet to receive either a refund or the product.  We've been following up about once a month and we get a standard reply message saying that they will credit our account immediately.  It's been since April and we haven't received anything.  I'm writting to the NY Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau.  I don't want to see anyone else harmed by this company, and this just can't continue.

    When you are using a credit card for payment, they should not charge your card until they ship.

    If you find a charge, and they haven't shipped within a couple weeks, it is time to file a dispute with your bank.  Your bank can simply reverse the charge, under the federal Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA).  To benefit from your FCBA dispute rights, you must dispute unauthorized charges or billing errors within 60 days of the statement date of the statement showing the charge, and you must send your dispute IN WRITING.  Dispute with your bank by phone, then follow up with a written dispute to preserve your rights

    There are shady companies that may intend to defraud you be claiming they will refund or ship, but in reality stringing you along until the 60 days has passed.  They know that if they can wait long enough, your bank is now out of the picture, and it is too expensive to take legal action, so they just took your money.

    File complaints with FTC, your state AG, NY AG, and BBB.  You may also find out more by calling the Attorney's General, since they may let you know if they have been receiving other complaints, and how the company has responded.
