lost of luggage at LAX airport

I HAD ARRIVED LAX FROM LOUISIANA, LAFAYETTE VIA HOUSTON ON 04/22/2010 USING CONTINENTAL AIRLINES. MY LUGGAGE WAS FOUND MISSING AND I DID THE COMPLAINTS(FILE NUMBER LAXCO92327 UNDER NAME OF MY FRIEND MR NORMAN BAKHTIAR BCOZ OF GROUP CHECK-IN AT LAFAYETTE). THE CONTINENTAL LOST AND FOUND STAFF DEPT(BENJAMIN CARLOS- TERMINAL 6)TOLD ME THAT LOST OF LUGGAGE ARE SOME COMMON PROBLEM WHICH I CAN'T ACCEPT AS A REASON. I STAYED IN LOS ANGELES FOR THREE DAYS AND CALL THE CONTINENTAL TOLL FREE 18003352247 EVERYDAY(DETAILS OF LOST ITEM GIVEN TO JOSH/GEORGE/TAWNI WHENEVER I CALLED). ON 04/23/2010, I MADE AN OFFICIAL POLICE REPORT AT LAPD( OFFICER R.MCNALLY) AND THE WHOLE EVENT TOLD TO THEM. I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE FEEDBACK FROM CONTINENTAL AIRLINES(CEO OR FLIGHT OPERATION MANAGER) BECAUSE THE TOTAL VALUED ITEM I HAD LOST COST ME OF US$1700. I HOPE , THE CONTINENTAL AIRLINES TOP LEVEL MANAGEMENT WILL TAKE THIS MATTER AS A SERIOUS MATTER IN ORDER TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMER, MAINTAIN GOOD REPUTATIONS. THE COMPENSATION SHOULD BE GIVEN AND GOOD MONITORING SYSTEM OF BAGGAGE MUST BE INTRODUCED.
