I have been charged several times for Credit Report that I did not order or request.  The first two charges were
as follows:
09/29/2011 Experian *FreeCredS 877-300-2507   $14.95
10/03/2011 Experian *FreeCredS 877 300-2507   $14.95

10/31/2011 Experian *FreeCredS 877-300-2507   $14.95
10/31/2011 Experian *FreeCredS 877-300-2507   $14.95

As a result of these unauthorized charges my account was charge 4 over drapft fees of $37.00 totallying $148.00 and 5 other checks were returned due to insufficient funds because of these unauthorized charges.  That is a total of 9 overdraft charges at 37.00 each since September 29/2011.

Total amount to be refunded to my account is $59.80 for 4 charges at $14.95 and 5 insufficient fund charges of $37.00 for an amount of $185.00.

185.00+59.80=$244.80 to be refunded

If the charges are fraudulent contacting the company rather than pushing the charge back through the bank, does nothing to force a merchant with weak securty to tighten it up, and it does nothing to cut off the fraudulent merchant, since they won't incur a chargeback fee.

In fact, it exposes you to risk of further fraud as long as you keep the card number or account open.

    TOTAL SCAM!!!!

The amount is small enough that not very many ppl will file a police report and notarize their fraudulent affidavit.

    This is why it works

    This company is criminal!

Please take the steps to get this scam investigated. I am, even though $15 more than the effort is worth.

I have never ONCE pulled my credit scores on my own.... I think there may be another factor in all of this. Do any or all of you have At&t for your wireless provider? Not ONLY did I have the monthly $14.95 charges from FreeCreds, but the same person hijacked the fact that I had my at&t wireless phone bill on auto pay and incrementally started adding additional money to it, all the while paying for my bill as well as part of his/her bill IN AN AT&T STORE (Texas and Georgia). So not only is At&t accepting payment from people who don't have physical credit cards in front of them (which is a HUGE problem in itself), but these a**holes had enough information about me to know that I was paying my bill automatically. I'd advise all of you to go back and check your phone bills!!!!!!

If anyone knows of a way to submit a police report or file a formal complaint please pose here so that I may do so as well.

    Same thing:
    12/28/2012 EXPERIAN *FREECREDS 8773002507 CA  $14.95

Found it late. So there were several of those charged on my credit card.

E-mailed them twice. They asked to call support. Called and was promised a refund almost immediately after I confirmed that I don't know anybody with the name Philippe H. who could use my card.

    Sounds weird...

Identity thieves are guessing at the credit report challenge questions, then using stolen or guessed credit card numbers to buy credit reports.

For every victim reporting a fraudulent credit card charge, there is a different victim whose credit report was sold, such as "Philippe H".

I had the same charge ($14.95) show up on my credit card.  I called Experian *FreeCredScr at 877-300-2506 and they wanted my SS# and credit card # number to varify who I was.  I said there was now way I was giving that information out.  They said it was the only way they could figure out what was going on.....I hung up and called my credit card company to dispute the charge.....they rep I talked to had broken English...makes you wonder what is going on

Just discovered a charge of $14.95 on my monthly credit card statement. I've never answered the phone when this number has called. I've had no dealing with them. On the statement it's listed as June 6,2013 EXPERIAN *FREECREDSCR 877--300-2506 CA        $14.95.  When CALLER ID can't identify the caller I never answer the phone. We have never requested a free credit score report or a free credit report.

They do exactly the same thing in the uk. They've stolen money from my account several times. When I complained I was sent a threatening email. Basically telling me if I tried anything they would set their lawyers on me!.

go to---->The Federal Trade Commission website for more information
    Free Credit Score trials
“….violates the law by deceptively advertising through a television advertisement a "free" credit report that upon order of “free trial” (subscription for $1.oo), locks consumers into a high-cost, long-term subscription service without adequate notice of the terms of service, including opt-out procedures.[1] Further, the credit reporting agency profits from raising fears of inaccuracies in reports, thus driving consumers to request the reports or monitoring service via its Web site.
The Federal Trade Commission investigate these practices.

Start by checking your bank account, check for any unauthorized charges.  Call the Customer Service line/Claims Dept. for your Bank and submit a claim.  Call Experian and cancel/stop any subscriptions/memberships and follow up in writing to any billing dept email you find (cc: BB:  Experian direct, Experian interactive, or even Experian Customer Service put it out there). You will receive a response to request a refund in writing (a letter) along with your bank statement (I would meet with my bank advisor to make sure if this is necessary, if so, go by what your bank advisor tells you, I don't know why Experian  would need bank transactions, (Experian should have record of all charges in accounts receivables). if all they need to do is refund the money, according to the "The Federal Trade Commission" they have to refund your money, period.
