Unsolicited/Unwarranted Collection Efforts by RPM

I've been receiving calls from RPM for the last 2 or 3 weeks that when I answer are disconnected. I began trying to call back the number from which the calls were originating and as soon as I begin explaining what is happening I am hung up on again. This is frightening to me because I do not know how much or what kind of information does company may have on me comma though I do know that I do not have any outstanding debts of any kind.
