I placed an order on line for the diet patches and they gave my card information to a third party and a $1.00 fee was removed without my consent.

It's a cramming scam. Scam merchants partner with other scams.
The $1 charge is used to "ping" your account to see if it's active before they cram through larger monthly charges.
Contact your bank immediately to notify them that the charge is fraudulent, and to shut down your account before they cram through a much larger fraudulent charge.
