Sprint Cancelation - Awful Experience

I recently tried to cancel my Sprint service due to my relocation and having zero signal in and around my house.

I spent overall 3 hours on the phone, talked to seven different people, waited for 15 minutes minimum for each of them. There is no way to expedite this as they play you by their script. First you talk to a first level person who does not have the ability to cancel any service. Then, they transfer the call to a "retention" group who then argues with you about why you want to cancel. Then you need to speak to the supervisor and argue with him/her about the cancellation.

Why do they think that this "customer retention" program works better than something that would make me recommend Sprint to my friends after me leaving the company?

I hope these guys go out of business soon. I have also written to the BBB about them.

Their Customer Support is an absolute joke. Our cellular tower is down again - for about the 4th time in 3 months. Can't make or receive any cellular calls. I have to drive 15 minutes away to get on another Sprint
tower just to contact Customer Support. I was just on hold for 25 MINUTES
and then they disconnected me!!! There is no place on line to report the
outage I am sick of this problem and their non-existent customer support.

And forget trying to resolve the issue because you can't get anyone from Customer Service to respond or speak with you. The $100 fee for breaking my
contract will be well worth it. My time is far more valuable than the hours
I spend on hold trying to get service issues resolved! I have yet to receive any response from Customer Service or any compensation for the numerous outages and the hours I have spent on the phone trying to get through to their CS hotline.

Sprint has the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life! Our family switched over from Nextel to Sprint, which Sprint owned so we thought we wouldn't have any  problems...WRONG!

The gave us these temporary numbers on our new phones, but we wanted to keep our old numbers so it took us hours for them to finally switch over our numbers, but we had to wait first on the phone for almost a half hour. Over the months my dad is paying the bills on the phones and then notices that he is paying for the temporary numbers and our original numbers.

He was getting two separate bills for months and was overpaying when a representative said that temp account would end as soon as we switched over. So we call Sprint to try to cancel the temp account and spend long hours being passed from one rep to the other who say they know what they are doing, but mostly they don't and after awhile some rep says they cancelled the account, but the next month the temp account bill comes again! Seriously there's no help.

We have to call Sprint AGAIN! Finally after many hours of waiting and being passed from rep to rep they stop the bills from coming to our house. But the big problem was that the temporary numbers were never used and so my family was trying to get back all the money that was paid month after month.

A rep told use that Sprint would send us a check that was owed to my dad. We wait a couple months and time goes by and NO CHECK! We call and again I'm not joking I am passed to Canada, to the Philippines and India to people who won't help me figure out where the money is. Finally someone says that they need proof though checks that my dad paid the money on the temp accounts and then fax those copies to this number they give me.

I repeated the number twice so there was no mistake on my end. Did Sprint think to maybe call us and tell us they needed this other information? NO! Funny thing too was that the rep that told us what was needed from us also told me how much Sprint owes my dad over $500!! If we had known sooner we could have kept the records on the copies of checks!

So my dad and I search for these copies of checks, but some of them are gone because time had gone by and thought he didn't need them anymore. The few that we did find we copied and tried to send to the fax number they told us to send to and what a surprise! The fax number was not working.

Remember i had the number repeated to me twice and another time by another rep. I get it was no coincidence that the fax machine wasn't working. Sprint screwed my poor dad who is 70 out of his money! Greedy business screwing americans! I even sent two complaint letters to Sprint a month ago explaining calmly the situation and giving the account numbers and copies of the checks and still I hear nothing! NOTHING! SPRINT IS THE WORST SERVICE PROVIDER EVER! OUR BUSINESS IS DONE WITH THEM!
