My caller ID for (213) 426-2708 shows a company named GLOBAL REACH INT.  Have gotten 5 calls this last hour.  Tried calling them back and was placed on hold.  Received yet another call and the woman said she was calling from Wu Yi diet (although it still showed GLOBAL), and I told her I was not interested and to stop calling.  I did visit that diet site about a week ago and unfortuantely did complete a short survey.   BIG MISTAKE.

I started recieving calls from this number today and thanks to your complaint, I just figured out where they were coming from....the same place yours were coming from Wu-Yi.  I did the same thing you did and I totally agree with you, big mistake.  Thanks for posting!

Hi, Thanks to all of you who posted here, I too had looked at Wu-yi tea on the internet using my wireless internet card but had not given my credit card info, anyone receiving calls from 213-452-6539, 213-228-8111, 213-426-8701, 213-426-2708 or 213-533-8042 do not give them any information and file complaints to the CA AG office, FTC, FCC and your state's AG office immediately. I have cut and pasted links below:

link to file complaints with California Attorney General:
    http://ag.ca.gov/contact/complaint_form.php?cmplt=CL

link to file complaints with Federal Communications Commission (FCC):

link to file complaints with Federal Trade Commission (FTC):

Hope this company Global Reach International gets closed down by one of our country's law enforcement agencies! Jenny

The same thing just happened to me!  THis lady called with WU YI tea and said I have completed and online form and they were calling to verigy that the cardhol;der was me and that I physically had the card on me.  When I refused she was almost beliggerent saying, I jus told you who I am!  You can go to the web site!  I told her if the site was not secure then I don't feel comfortable doing it.

What a scam...don't fall for it!

I got a bunch of calls from the exact same number, but haven't ever been to that site, and when they call me, as soon as I pick up, they hang up.  So I just now called them back, it never enen rings, but someone picks up and says "hello?" 3 times and hangs up... first time I called it was a girl, the next time it was a guy, the third time was a law firm office, and the last one was another girl.  I called my phone company, and they said it sounds like a prank line... basically people dial this number and it randomly calls people... and some people use it to scam others.  My advice, CALL YOUR PHONE SERVICE PROVIDER AND ASK THEM TO BLOCK THAT NUMBER!!  IF THEY SAY THEY CAN'T, THEN ASK THEM TO CHANGE YOUR NUMBER!! Good luck all!

I called on my Skype VOIP line so that my home or personal numbers were used.  Someone answered each time I called {4 or 5 times in a row to get them back :-)} a guy a couple of times and a girl a few times.  One time they did say something about some kind of diet service we called about.  I called without saying anything to see who this was and it sounds like a bunch of people in a room calling up unsuspecting people all day.  I have now been getting 7 or so calls a day for the past few days.

here we are in May 2009 and I am getting these calls on my HOME AND CELL which are both unlisted numbers. I have not spoken to anyone so I cannot verify if it is the "diet program" you are all referring to. but whoever these folks are even without communication they call .. and call.. and call.

I have received 15 calls from Globalreach in the past 8 days, 3 of which were in the past 2 hours while I was trying to take a nap with my infant. The caller ID says 213-239-2897, but when I call that number, it says it has been disconnected. I used to answer these calls and there would be no one there. I am assuming it's a computer that calls to either verify this is a real number so telemarketers can call, or to research what times of the day I am home. Good luck with the latter because I'm never answering them again. There was a website I used to have saved that had a tone you could put on your answering machine to fake the computer into thinking it was a disconnected number so telemarketing computers would stop calling...anyone know where I can find that again? Anyway, Globalreach is shooting themselves in the foot if they are a company that sells any type of products, because whatever the product is, I will never buy it.
