Hello,
here my complaint. Last summer I bought 3 tickets for a round trip Fiumicino-LA and Sand Francisco-Fiumicino. The provider was Cheapoair. A few months ago, I received an email from the company stating that Alitalia had cancelled one of the flights and that they had selected a new flight WITH 6 HOURS OF LAYOVER! I called Cheapoair and spent one hour on the phone before the agent told me about the possibility to get a refund, if I did not want to fly with Alitalia. I asked them to tell me the exact amount of the refund and am still waiting to know how much it is (somebody said they could not tell me, somebody said it was going to be the total amount, somebody said the half. I called them three times, chatted with three people (and saved a copy of the conversation), and sent an email to the billing email address, but no answer after a week. As a result the scheduled (and PAID) flight to Fiumicino leaves tomorrow. I am obviously not going to take that flight and at the same time I am not sure how much Cheapoair will give me back and when. In practice, I was forced to do a blind transaction...I am looking to an effective way to take them to court. I think what they are doing to me is illegal and, even if I stated that in my last email, they have not replied yet...

    PDF, very sorry for the inconvenience. At times the airlines undergo changes in their operations causing  the customer an inconvenience. As a travel agency, we are only provided options put in place by the airlines. It's based on seat availability, and routing. I'm very sorry some one from the billing department has not gotten back to you, if you provide us with the booking number, we will get a schedule change specialist to assist with obtaining that refund. Also, if you are not taking  this  flight, the reservation does have to be canceled out prior to the flight departure, or you will lose the value of the ticket, it's tagged as a NO SHOW.

    Customer used a portion of his ticket, therefore the refund needed to be calculated for the portion he did not use. There's international taxes, ticket fares for each segment that needed to be determined by our accounting department. Customer was informed of the refund amount on several emails, the refund has been processed and takes 4-6 weeks for him to receive it.
