My Airtel Sim does not work anymore

I am in US and I used to keep my airtel SIM on for texts. I also used it when I travelled back to India. It has suddenly stopped working and airtel's website and customer care tell me that the number is invalid. Please help! My email is ashn.jain@gmail.com
