I was about to fall into the persuasions of the GMI Enterprises until I stumbled upon this website while researching them. Thank you to all who spread the word about them and saved me cash and headache. I wanted to let everyone know about the chain letter that says to send $1 to each of 6 people on a list. You're supposed to take the top name off and add your name to the bottom. Then mail a letter to 200 people (at your own stamp cost) and get a mailing list from their company. So you're supposed to get money from the 200 and then their 200 and so on and so forth.  I called all the people on the list and 2 didn't exsist, 1 didn't answer, 2 of them made nothing and 1 woman made $20. So there you have it. Hope it helps.

I also fell for the GMI Enterprises.  I found out too late after I paid their fee and the fee for ordering the list.  When I was called the lady told me that she worked for the Federal Government.  She said that FHA sub contracted out the overflow of the names that they were unable to reach, and it was cheaper for us to contact the people who were owed a refund.  I emailed the FHA Web site of which had the same list they gave, plus the exposing of them as a scam.  I had contacted them several times by email and this made me think they were legitimate.  I have not heard from them since I sent the email exposing them.  Hope this will help others.  I'm giving more information about what and how they operate.  They are smooth operators.  BE WARE!!!!!

FHA would use a "subcontractor" to employ a chain letter in order to notify people of refunds?  Ridiculous.

Falsely claiming to be an employee or representative of the Federal Government.

Operating and facilitating an illegal chain letter scheme.

Why don't you file a complaint with the U.S. Postal Inspector.
