Unpaid Pay Day Loan
Complaint

Country: United States
I received a call from BRG indicating that I owed from an unpaid payday loan that I took out while working for Palm Harbor Medical.....I told the gentleman that the last payday loan I took our was in 2012 and I didn't work at Palm Harbor Medical at that time.....then he said the payday loan was from 2011 when again I wasn't working at that company at the time.....the gentleman said I owed 635.00 and I said I did not take out a payday loan from Kingston Marketing back in 2011 and what I found odd was that he was able to produce valid information at the incorrect times.....this smells of a scam because they attempted to introduce familiar information in an attempt to reel me in.....I told the gentleman that his information is wrong and I don't owe Kingston Marketing any unpaid debt and that I wasn't going to pay him anytning.....he had indicated that he will.file a dispute and that the company will contact me at a later date....I believe without a doubt that BRG is a scam operation in an attempt to solicit money from me......I am making this record to acknowledge contact with BRG and to point out that the information was not correct ant that I wasn't going to pay them anything....anybody contacted by this company make sure you ask for specific information and that it matches up with current employment and when the debt originated.

It looks like they're using access to skip tracing services (like Accurint, datawhore to the scams), to obtain identity information on people that they represent as supposedly connected to the "loan".
The way they usually slip up is that skip trace info doesn't accurately show when you actually changed addresses or employers, just when some company that they buy data from passed them new information.
