Customer service is horrible!!!!  DO NOT deal with Georgette!  We joined in 2007 with the knowledge that a Sarasota store would be opening.  In the fall of 2011 we brought a whole kitchen through them and it has been nothing but a nightmare! It is now June 2012 and we are still waiting for things to come in.  The communication between Direct Buy and their customers is almost not there at all.  They will never call you back and their hours of operation is NOT customer friendly!!  They are hardly open summer months.  Once they get your money you are mincemeat!!!!!!  DO NOT JOIN!!!!!  The Sarasota store needs help!!!!

    Unfortunately the staff which happens to be family members had no training in basic common sense. We are in the process of renovating, 4 condos near Sarasota so I sent my wife in with her mother to start getting some ideas. My mother in law is not a member but was with her daughter who is a member. Christi, SHOW ROOM MANAGER!!!!!! and family member of the owners of the Sarasota DirectBuy store made my mother in law leave the show room because she was not a member!!!!!! Christi did not want her to see the prices, like no one ever mentions a price they saw while in the store. Needless to say I was so embarrassed, my wife was humiliated that her mother now had to wait elsewhere. Of course my wife apologized to her mother and promptly left. They then went to the Tampa/St. Pete store where they were both welcomed and understood under the circumstances allowed my mother in law to accompany her daughter. Needless to say none of my wife’s family members would ever consider a membership at the Sarasota store. We will end up spending over $500,000 on this renovation alone, it will all be purchased at the Tampa DirectBuy and not the Sarasota store. I am sure Christi "SHOW ROOM MANAGER" would not do that to her mother. You just cost your family a huge sale, hope you learn a lesson in common sense.

    Rich and Catherine miller are the biggest scum bags on this planet , they trick people into signing up for free but they don't tell you you only have 3 days to cancel until its to late . They are bloodsuckers who do to care about anything but thier selfs , I have never met such a cheesy fake couple in my life they use elderly and run a huge scam people beware direct buy is a SCAM they will steal your money then laugh about it as soon as you leave if you would like to get ripped off by all means join direct buy

    This place is a joke I worked for them very shortly and what a experience , they have us call the same people 3 times a day 6 days a week to Harraass them into coming into the showroom only to be bored to death for a hour and a half while they try to pitch you on this outrageous priced membership that you will never get your money's worth ( says every existing member I've ever spoke with ) , while al, the while they runs slave shift they expect you to work 6 days a week but if you go over 40 hours it's your fault and you get written up , if you are 1 min late they doc your pay 1 dollar per hour for your entire 2 week pay , they also expect you to use your own vehicle and gasoline to drive thier stupid advertising crap around to any kind of local event where they can try to scam more people so not only are they taking from thier customers but thier employers as well and I am tired of it put a stop to the scam artist of this world rise up

    Do not make the mistake of attending the Direct Buy sales presentation!  We were told that the presentation would take 90 minutes and that we would be given refreshments and a free gift if we attended.  After we arrived, we were offered a small cup of coffee with powdered creamer and handed over to a salesperson.  After about 15 minutes we were seated in a room where the owner gave his sales pitch.  His presentation lasted nearly two hours and was incredibly redundant.  We were then handed back to the salesperson and offered a can of soda.  Then began another sales presentation.  When we made it clear that we were not willing to sign a $5000.00 contract and got up to leave, my husband asked about the gift.  The salesperson asked us to sit down and wait to speak with the owner, who was actively speaking to other customers.  We decided that it was not worth any gift to wait any longer and walked out.  If you are thinking about joining Direct Buy, do your research and do not believe everything that you are told in the sales presentation.

      Thanks for ur input , guess I'll just do my business elsewhere as the truly sound like big scammers, how can they live with themselves ripping people off , thanks again

    I  worked there and am so glad that they are out of business! They  treated their employees terrible and didn't care about their customers except to get their money  ! A lot like  GRAND INCENTIVES /TAKE A GETAWAY  TRAVEL!
