I got a call a few years ago to donate to the breast cancer society. I know many people affected by forms of cancer so I agreed to give them a small donation of $20 when they sent a pledge card. No big deal. Got my tax deductible receipt later. I even sent money a second time the next year. Problem is they started calling every few months after the first year. They claimed they hadn't called & I hadn't donated. At first I just thought wires had gotten crossed & one hand didn't know what they other was doing. I realize now with the daily calls that they are a scam, not the actual cancer society. I haven't "donated" in 2-3 years yet get calls everyday. I keep asking them to stop calling & that does nothing.

    Start filing complaints..
    List your number on the Do Not Call list (donotcall.gov), and tell them when they call next to list it on their internal Do Not Call list.  Every time they call after that they are in violation of the DNC law, so file repeated complaints at donotcall.gov
