Poor quality

My husband and I bought a Maytag Dishwasher at Sears on 10/22/07, Model No. MBD6601AWW.  Because we are snowbirds the dishwasher was used only 6 & 1/2  months each year, i.e. Oct thru mid-April.  The Sears salesman talked me into buying the Maytag when I clearly expressed my desire to buy the  better rated Sears model.  After 4 years I received a recall notice and had to have an electric part replaced.  The machine is noisy, does a poor job of "scrubbing"  food that has dried on the plates as well as baked on foods, necessitating my having to scrub pots and pans and rinse all dishes including knives and forks BEFORE putting these items into the dishwasher.  The Normal Wash and Light Wash cycles became been "extended" immediately after the recalled part was replaced. Now the clasp handle to open the dishwasher door has broken.  I can close the door but my husband has to tug with all his might to get the door open again.  The machine is used 3 to 4 times a week.  I would never recommend this Maytag appliance and of course would never buy another Maytag
