Double Charged for Tickets

On May 2, 2015, I purchased a ticket through CheapoAir for a flight from IAH to OAK on Spirit Airlines on May 21, 2015 for $752.00. When I arrived at the Spirit ticket counter, I was told that the reservation was made but the ticket was not paid for and that I'd have to pay for the flight before I could board. I explained to the agent that I had already paid for the ticket through CheapoAir. She said that she did not see a purchased ticket and that if I want to fly, that I'd have to pay for the ticket and sort it out with CheapoAir later. I called Cheapo when I arrived in Oakland on the 22nd to inform them of the issue and talked to a gentleman named Jame at the customer service desk. He told me that he would look into it and get back to me shortly. After a week or so he contacted me and wanted me to send him a copy of the invoice receipt where I paid Spirit for the ticket. After calling him for weeks I finally received a call from another customer service agent named Georgia saying that she would take care of the issue from here. She also requested a copy of the receipt of the ticket charge. It's now August 27, 2015 (over 3 months) and still no resolution to the over payment issue. I feel that at this point, after numerous calls and follow-up emails to the Cheapo, that I'm getting the old runaround. You would think that 3 month would be long enough to take care of this issue.

Carl, in order to address your concern, we need the 8 digit booking number emailed to us at sm@cheapoair.com place blog in the subject line, and details of the concern. We will investigate into what took place. Travel on Spirit airlines if a booking was made, and the ticket not paid for, the airline would of canceled the flight within 24 hours of booking for non payment, so not quite sure how you still have a flight reserved if it had not been paid for. Will wait for your response with the information required to respond appropriately.

They charged me twice as well, I had cancelled a ticket on October 3rd 2020 for which they had mentioned that I would be able to use that amount in credits for a future flight but the next day there was another charge on my account for the exact amount I paid for the flight for $1119 (which was the fare for the flight plus insurance). I talked to them on the phone for two hours and they said they would schedule a call back from a supervisor but I have not received any sort of call yet. I’m a student and I don’t have a lot of money to begin with so you can imagine how this sets me back a lot.
