Horrible cut

I went to the great clips in tacoma by the fred meyer. Yong cut my hair. I told her i wanted just a trim, maybe an inch or two. Maybe just a teeny bit off the layers as i am trying to grown them out. She showed me the back of me hair with a mirror and said "you need this much off or it won't look good". I said no, i just want no more than an inch off. She proceeded to hack about 6 inches off my hair and say "see, doesn't it look better". I was horrified. I cant believe they would hire stylists that refuse to listen to their clients.
