Fraudulent Mailing and RUDE Customer Service

I own a 2010 Volvo XC60 which I know is nearing the end of it's original warranty.  Today I received a mailing from CarSafe telling me that my warranty had expired or was nearing the end.  Instead of doing a search online I called the company to see what they had to offer.  I was "approved" and they gave me their initial quote.  I balked at the price and yet the person I was speaking with insisted that this was the right thing to do.  After he realized I wasn't willing to pay the original quote he THEN was willing to offer me the military discount.  This delay in offering a military discount to the wife of an active duty service member should have been the major trigger telling me to just hang up the phone. However, I was transferred to his "supervisor" who made the case as though he was offering me the best deal in the world.  Again I expressed my concern about the cost and informed him (as I had the previous guy) that I would need to speak with my husband before making any decisions.  I was then informed that the offer was only good for the duration of the phone call.  No matter what I said both gentlemen had an answer and they are good talkers.  Against any judgement I have ever had I chose to give them a down payment. My judgement was based on the fact that while my husband can repair nearly any car my Volvo is mostly computerized and we are unsure how much he will be able to repair.   When I was finally able to speak with my husband  the first question he asked me was if I had looked the company up on the Internet because, he agreed the price was too steep.  After finally looking the company up on the internet I realized they are being sued for fraudulent mailings and misrepresentations.  When I called customer service to cancel the policy (maybe 2 hours after I had originally spoken with them) I reached a recording that said to call back during regular business hours.  I then called the original number and was given the run around by the first guy I had spoken to.  When I questioned their business practices the man became even ruder to me almost to the point of arguing.  While I regret not looking into this company before I called them I did contact my bank and had the debit card I used cancelled.  I may have to fight for the $200 down payment but at least they won't be able to scam me out of more money.
