In checking online there are alot of complaints already out there about whoever this company is....all I have found out is that this is a "landline" and it is listed through Toronto, Canada
A number of complaints indicate deceptive telemarketing from a call center based in Canada. They appear to be falsely claiming to be associated with several banks or cable companies, phishing for credit card numbers.
For example: "... Call was from Canada. He said he was with "Bank of America" and wanted to enroll me for free credit card protection. I told him the best way for me to protect my credit card was to "not talk about it over the phone!" I hung up when he asked for my credit card number. Also, he sounded just like Apu from the Simpsons cartoon show. ..."
"... Yesterday I received a call from this number. The number showed "unknown caller" on my telephone. The caller asked to speak to my wife saying that they were calling about her American Express credit card. She does not have an American Express card. Today I received a second call. This time the number showed "Call Center". The caller asked for my wife saying that she was calling about my wife's Bank of America credit card. My wife called the "800" number on the back of her credit card. The person who answered the call stated that this was fraud and not to give any information out. ..."
"... I've filed a complaint with the FCC. Even though this company appears to be in Canada it's very troubling that they have information on the people they're calling. They told me that they were from my cable company and they had a promotional deal for me. I hung up and called my cable company. They told me that not only do they not outsource calls, they have no offices outside of the U.S. The FCC can't follow up on individual cases but forwards the cases to law enforcement for review. Can't wait to hear what, if anything, happens. ..."
Even if they were actually some telemarketer associated with, say, BofA, be aware that BofA as well as other bank affiliated telemarketing partners have been caught engaged in fraudulent telemarketing and fraudulent charging scams.

ONTARIO - 647-288-7959
When I pick up nobody is on the other end of the line. I wish there was a way to prevent my phone to ring when this number calls.

I did all the above and now I'm waiting for a $200 gift card and 6 free mags. I'm doing it as an experiment to see what happens, I'll let you all know.

We just received a call from this number also 1-647-288-7959. Informing my husband they have a gift card...blah..blah..blah. I let them know right off that they where calling a cell phone and we were not interested in their spam, and to take us off their list. She started arguing right away.."we are not selling anything". I hung up...here it before on land line and at the front door. Calling Verizon, our plan has limited calling and we hate paying for this garbage.
