Employee of Statoil contacted me to send money to him

I have been e-mailing a person, Named Howard Everett. Supposedly aboard a Oil Rig in the North Atlantic.  He has asked me to send him $3,550 in order to secure his leave off the rig in order to visit his sick dtr in California.  Some very official documents have been e-mailed to by Statoil, which I now feel are a fraud. The documents, not the company   On this document it states if for any reason I need to contact in Statoil, I should call -1(213)423-1252.  Fraud all the way.   Please get back to me
