Not leather

After saying I would never purchase furniture from Art Van again due to them not standing behind my sister's Natuzzi leather couch, I was encouraged by a salesman at Art Van in Warren, Michigan last December to make a second purchase. Boy was I an idiot. I found a very attractive brown couch and chair and asked if it was all leather. The saleman assured me that it was all leather and of excellent quality. I have pets and did not want synthetic leather of any kind.
After being assured that the pieces were 100% leather, I decided to make the purchase. Five months into owning the set, my kitten did some damage to the couch and chair. I knew this was my responsibility to have it repaired so I called a leather repairman. When the leather repairman came out he informed me that my outfit was not leather. I was furious.
I phoned Art Van and the manager I spoke with looked the items up and read off that it was all leather. But so I told him what the leather repairman had to say. To make a long story short, my family and I went into the store and spoke with the manager and another manager above him and he asked me what I wanted. I want it fixed but don't think I should have to pay for it as it is not the real leatherr I was told it was. He said that he would send a service tech out to take pics and then decide. He promised he would give a follow up call but never did so I phoned him a couple of days ago. He said he hadn't seen the pics yet but without even looking at them, he would pay $200 and I should pay $100. Well, because I was sold something that is not leather, I feel the compromise should be that I'm willing to keep it if he'll fix it. Otherwise I could have demanded my money back.
