540-628-7220      I believe this number that called me was spoofed by Diversified Collection Services.  Right after I got this call (I didn't answer), I got one that I had previously identified as the same (Diversified Collection Services). It was spoofed to identify itself as 540-628-7721 (540 being the Virginia area code, even though the call originates in California)   They are Intimidation specialist!!

They appear to be a debt collector, often reported to be collecting on student loans.  It is common for debt collectors to use telecom phone services that produce a local area code, or just different area codes to evade blocking.

They have many complaints of abusive and harassing calls, continued harassing calls to the wrong party, and harassing calls to third parties.  (One complaint reports calls to their boss's neighbors, which is so far beyond "locating" as to be ridiculous.)

Use of abusive calling as a deliberate tactic would be consistent with use of numerous different calling numbers to evade blocking.

Just get an attorney and sue them.  That will stop it and pay you for the trouble.

They keep calling me everyday but never leave a message.  When I do answer all I get is "please hold for the next representative" over and over for about 20 seconds then the phone line goes dead.  I found a toll free number 866-257-3596 and managed to get an operator.  The operator transfers me to a Pam Holland who does not answer her phone or return her messages.  The funny thing is I have never had a student loan.

Diversified is calling me and I don't have any debt. They are asking for someone I never heard of, and very snarky when I tell them they have the wrong number.

Send them notice in writing, mailed certified, to cease calling your number (nnn-nnn-nnnn)
After verifying receipt through usps.com, if they keep calling, pass the case off to an attorney.
