Purchased a Tracfone bundle on 9/8 from Walmart.com intended to be used by traveler.  Also purchsed a 60-min. airtime "card" (actually just an email with a PIN #) to load into the card once delivered.  Travel plans were canceled, so returned phone to Walmart for refund, but was told that airtime card would have to refunded by Tracfone.  Called them and was told that refund would be issued once phone returned (9/17), but then when called back with Walmart refund info, told that no refund would be issued.  I gave them all the details of my original call, manager's name and number and "reference #" given by her--which turned out all to be bogus information.  Absolutely no reason except for "policy" given for no refund for an email-delivered, never used and totally unusable airtime "card".  $20 bucks down the drain.  Ripoff city.

    tracphone tension
    I bought a tracphone airtime card for $40.  Afterall, when I turned my cell phone on after having lost it for 5 months it said "service of tracphone."  come to find out it only takes Net10 cards.  tried to return it at Riteaid and they said they couldn't since I scratched off the back of the card.  told me to call tracphone.  Tracphone said they said they don't issue refunds either.  I'm screwed out of $40.  Now I either have to get Net 10 card or a tracphone altotgether.  So much for saving money.
