It's a cramming scam..
They don't want their books back. They just want your money.
If you didn't agree to receive and pay for their books, then it is a violation of US Postal Regulations for them to bill you for them. Stop paying for them, and file fraud complaints with FTC and your state AG. File a mail fraud complaint with the US Postal Inspector.
