i recieved a text blowing me out of bed at 530 am saying i won a free gift card for walmart for 1000. get real, i have had a hip replacement and dont move so gingerly, and my husband just had a double hernia operation 4 days ago, scared the bajesus outta me. i'm out for blood. lol

    update, nothing free about it, my daughter responded and it was a marketing scam wanting you to do some work for the free card, lol. whatever

      The complaint above from cheryl was the first for me to see on google when I googled the [***] text scam which I had put off for a few days because I was quite sure it was a scam but just to make sure I googled and first thing I saw cheryl's complaint about "blowing her out of her bed at 5:30am"
      made me laugh so hard I cried lol
      made the scam text almost worth it lol

    File complaints with FTC and your cell phone provider, and cut off text messages if they are costing you.

    I don't know how you got my cell number, but I spent 12 minutes waiting to speak with AT&T to ask someone about this to see if this website was something that would give my computer a virus or if it was legitimate. I hate not being able to trust ANYONE anymore because of stuff like this. WALMART, how about keeping stuff like this honest. Either you have a gift for me or you don't. My TV is about to go out and I was almost getting excited that I could replace it with your gift certificate. What a disappointment!

    503-334-5118 is where my text message came from at 4:24am. As soon as I got up, I went to the internet to see what the heck was going on.  Just as I figured, BS!

    the number on mine 718-594-2634. I too was getting excited. Was gonna buy my daughter some maternity clothes.  too good to be true.

    I received a message saying that I had won a $1000 gift certificate using up my minutes. I don't appreciate this scams and I wonder if there could be a way to file a law suite for all these stupid scams

    i received the same text message from 503-329-1902 its a total scam and i hate that i have to deal with this kind of thing since the government decided to release cell phone numbers to public records part of having a cell phone was that scam artistes like this couldnt get your number because it wasnt publicly recorded i have hit very hard times since a car accident put my back out and have enough to handle with out the false hope of things like this and you would think with how picky walmart is about their products they wouldnt keep dealing with these kind of people and if they are not legit then they would take step to have the scammers tracked down and dealt with because all the bogus text or emails always have the $1000 walmart gift card as the reward and im getting to the point of not supporting a company that will attempted to scam you this many ways can they then be trusted to be honest in the stores

    Yea i received the 1000 gift card walmart text. Figured it was some bull, Waltmart needs to step up. Wish i knew who it was i"d go to their wereabouts and file my complaint!

    I too received the text message saying that I won a free giftcard from Walmart, not only once but twice in the same day from 2 different .coms!! LUCKY ME!! So tired of these scams, and hate them using up my minutes.
