I agreed to a 2 month personal trainer program.  In reading the agreement it stated they needed 30 days notice to cancel.  I tried to cancel and have been given one bogus phone number and email address after another.. I joined this facility as it was new and convenient.
What I found is a scam!!!  I did give them more than 30 days notice;I have been given  bogus answers with no accountability.  I live in Chicago and Blast is located on Irving Park.  I confronted my personal trainer
about the situation and he said he would take care of it....  Now he says he emailed his boss and has not heard back it will take 48 hrs..... Now he agreed it is a scan but his hands are tied.  Should anyone thinks of joining Blast Fitness think again. This company is breaking the law and should be held accountable.

Health clubs make a lot on "personal trainers", often from charges after customers stop using them.

Contracts sold on the premise that you can cancel, where the company then puts barriers in the way of actually doing so, are indications of consumer fraud.  You will have to block your card number or shut down your account to prevent unending charges, and file a fraud complaint with your local District Attorney or Attorney General to head off their likely attempt to keep taking your money through from shady "collection agency".

I have been trying to cancel my personal trainer membership for over a month now. They needed a letter from the doctor stating my diagnosis. I emailed them the letter and said it was not done correctly. I then faxed over a second letter from my doctor, and then they gave me a story that their fax was not working! I have spinal stenosis and cannot exercise at all! They have been jerking me around for the last month and a half. This membership really blows so be careful before you join!
