You people are funny.....
For the most part Monitronics offers a free system, and charges you a monthly fee to monitor your home.
Y'all jump on it because it's free, pay the monthly for a few months, and then decide you don't want it anymore, you can't afford it any more, or you're moving etc...
Just like they have an obligation to monitor your home, YOU have an obligation to read and understand your 36 months agreement, and anything above and beyond that.
Regardless of the circumstances or the reason, will you be able to cancel your cellphone contract anytime you want to or feel like it??? NO!
It's the same thing, different product!
IT'S a company, they have to make money to be in business (not to mention, to be able to offer free systems to people like you!). They have overhead, they pay the sales rep who goes out, pay for the equipment, pay the installer, pay for the office staff and monitoring staff, all the real Estate, buildings, insurance etc.....
You throw them a curve ball, expect one back!
