I did write someone on the ID Shack facebook page. A few people didn't answer but one guy finally did and he said that it is legit and he is not a fake person or anything(Like someone fake on facebook)
i live in canada and have no affiliation with idshack they are lagit maybe not as good as idchief was befor he retierd but they are real and you will get a product from them
i ordered from idshack and they sent the ids, they were awful. they look ok, but they say "identification card" instead of "drivers license." what made it worse is that they do not scan
Yes, dot-i-d.com and mr-i-d.com are both complete scams. There are many reviews on the internet explaining how the whole "underground review" network is fraudulent. Before reading these reviews, I ordered one from mr-i-d.com and received absolutely nothing. I even did the express shipping because I'm super impatient. Recently I ordered one from new-ids.com, and I'll post here when I receive it, although I'm almost completely certain it is legitimate.

July 1st 2013 - New York issued new Driver License design today (old ones are worthless now).
Polycarbonate New York IDs are now in circulation.
Clear Window with hovering face Raised print Laser Engraving
and a bunch of other crazy features. The old New York IDs are now obsolete.
I mean its not too big of deal because its not like everyone with New York licenses are going to get new ones. Plus there is still not a legit place to get IDs, well as good as idchief.

I ordered IDs from ID buddy and I got a wooden necklace in the mail. Either they made a shipping mistake or scammed the [***] out of me. Either way, nobody order from them again.
