I received a call last week, and advised this person to no longer call.  gave them attorneys name and email, and explained that item was included bankruptcy.  My attorney advised me to disregardand not to send any money and the item was included in the bankruptcy

This is in reference to your Account number 5218-8 with ACS in order to notify you that after making several calls to you on your phone number, we were not able to get hold of you. So the legal department of ACS has decided to mark this case as a flat refusal and press charges against you.

Your account with ACS is in Final Collections. According to our records, your outstanding balance is 590.00  Do revert back if you want to get rid of these legal consequences and make a payment arrangement within the next 48 hours or else the case will be downloaded against you.

As we have shared with you in previous letters, read your loan agreement; the next step is clearly defined. It could cost us both a great deal of time and money; you can avoid this by taking care of this now.

The opportunity to take care of this voluntary is quickly coming to an end. We would hate for you to lose the option of resolving this before it goes to the next step which is a Lawsuit against you, but to do so you must take immediate action.

It is quick and easy:
Grab your debit card and call us or e-mail us right now in order to make a payment and freeze down this case.

Contact us on 1-585-204-6000

If you do not take immediate action:

We will be forced to download this case against you and once it is downloaded the creditor has entire rights to inform your employer and your references regarding this issue and the law suit will be the next step which will be amounting to $4447.25 and will be totally levied upon you and that would be excluding your attorney charges and the due amount pending on your name $899.45.

I got the same e-mail saying im going to be prosecuted for a loan i was suppose to have taken out in November. I called the number and could not understand the guy asked if i could talk to someone else that i could understand. The number was a New York number, the man said he would transfer me and hung up on me. He too had a middle eastern accent. These guys are major scammers, I fell for it once a couple of years ago not doing it again

I received the same email and I tried to contact them but it would not go through, so I retired to google the main number for the company. I am so glad I googled it because I am now seeing all of the scams they run. I was about to call them and set up a payment plan! Wow I am definitely forwarding the email to the bbb

I just got one of these emails also saying I owed a 4750 dollar loan.   At first I thought it was from an old school loan but they have all  been put into deferment.  What can we do?

It is a scam because they just sent me an email, too.  I thought it was from my daughter's student loan which I knew was deferred.  I called and they gave me her last 4-digit of SS #.  At that moment I knew it was a scam b/c most companies would not even go into details of someone else's acct.  I called the Better Business office in Columbia, SC and told them that...HUNG up!

This is a huge scam, if you were really being sued you would have received it through certified mail or through an officer working for the court.  You would physically be served.  Also you would not be receiving any info about it via email it is always collections through postal service and those would be certified to so they could verify your address.  They tried the same thing with me only problem is I have never been sent a letter nor have I been called.  Just ignore it.

I received this very same e-mail this morning.  I called the number given and asked for verification of this debt and they would not provide anything.  They hung up on me.  I work for an attorney and he explained what I already knew, that proof of a debt is necessary.

WOW, some folks just have too much time on their hands; I received this email this morning and it really stunned me; I am glad I decided to check it out on line.  I really appreciate everyone posting about the scam; nice to know we have each others back by doing so.
