Unauthorized charges

Received a charge for $29.95 for nothing??  I called the 1-800-475-1942
number and the charge will be refunded.  We will see.  I am still calling the bank and registering a FRAUD charge against SEM Budget Savers.

    Immediately contact your bank to dispute fraudulent charges, and close the account due to fraud to prevent additional fraudulent charges.  Follow up with a written dispute or fraud affidavit sent to your bank's dispute address from your statement.

    File fraud complaints with FTC, your state Attorney General, and at www.ic3.gov

    Do NOT trust any cancellation or refund promises, as such scams will say anything to delay you past the 60 day FRB Reg. E or FCBA dispute periods during which your bank can just yank back their stolen money.  Dispute with your bank, and follow up with a written dispute or fraud affidavit sent to your bank's dispute address from your statement.

    Do NOT use checking accounts, debit cards, or check cards  for any payments to anyone you do not know and trust.  Limit their use to payments to trusted creditors such as rent, mortgage, utilities, etc.  Use only credit cards for retail or online payments, as the fraud protections are stronger and it is less disruptive to block credit card numbers when fraud occurs.

    I am cancelling because they charged my account $3.00 when they told me it would be only a $1.00 for the first 30-days.  Then I checked my account again and before the 30-day trial period was up, more like 9 days later they charged my account $29.95.

    I had called a few months ago to cancel this because I didn't even know what it was for. I realized I had been charged again today for another $29.95 so I called 1-800-475-1942 again and spoke to a young lady named Jennifer and she said she would cancel my service today so the charge for today that is pending in my bank account would be released & not charged. Due to the fact that I called a couple months ago to cancel (She said she showed no record of that) they will mail me a complaint form to fill out and return to possibly get the past 2 months refunded. We'll see on all counts.
