FGR is a company in Alpharetta, Georgia that deals in on-site computer and telecommunications outsourcing. Right now they are using Work Market LLC to attract technicians to go to client locations and render services such as but not limited to telephone wiring and various computer rel;ated assignments such as networking and wiring circuits from network switches to POS locations and so forth.

The problem with this company is that they offer assignments at say $115 that may take anywhere from a few hours to all day BUT after the job is complete and the technician has expended materials from his or her own stock, they refuse to compensate the technician for those materials which I consider to be akin to theft.

Henceforth and hereafter I WILL NOT accept work from FGR unless and until they compensate me for materials that I have expended on their assignments to date, to the tune of around $100!

Technicians BE  FOREWARNED, these folks will screw you if you give them the chance!

The complaint message above is the result of a "knee jerk reaction" (anad a somewhat embarassing learning experience) on my part because I didn't read the entire work order before accepting it and it almost feels as if I have egg on my face! The onus is on us technicians to READ THE ENTIRE WORK ORDER before punching that button and accepting a given job. If the job clearly states (as in this case) that the price offered will be the price paid regardless of how many parts or how much cable one uses or how far one has to travel to get to the job site then it is up to that individual to consider whether or not to accept the job for the amount offered. We are all in this business to realize financial gain and self actualization for a job well done and it doesn't make sense to accept a job where one has to drive a long distance to get to the job site and then provide parts and other materials that won't be reimbursed over and above the original price of the job. I really regret not having engaged my brain before putting my fingers to the keyboard.

Here's the way I look at FDR doesn't want to pay for my parts why would I give them away there's no way in the world that their hourly amounts or flat rate cover any materials that I know of you can't buy thousand feet of cat five for under $80 and most of the time that's all the tickets are worth if that much I noticed the last ones I saw posted work for $65. I've taken all their silly little tests,  all the ones that I wanted to doing still Haven't received any extra work from them so evidently they don't care.
