952-831-2103 is reported by others as Northland Group.  They have a record of both abusive debt collection, and contacting and harassing the wrong party. Since they appear to be located in Minnasota, if you are having problems with them continuing to call and harass you about someone else's debt, file complaints with FTC and your state AG, and then contact the Minnasota Attorney General.

Make it clear in your complaints that you are not the debtor they are trying to reach, that you have repeatedly told them that, and that they just claim you are lying and have threatened to keep calling you until you pay them.

Their BBB report indicates they are a member, but complaints against them on various sites show problems similar to what you are having.  BBB statistics show that their BBB complaint rate has been rising.

"The BBB processed a total of 300 complaints about this company in the last 36 months, our standard reporting period.Of the total of 300 complaints closed in 36 months, 175 were closed in the last year."

Report of deception.  When the consumer contacted them about an alleged debt, their employee claimed it was a "student loan", when in reality it was an old credit card debt.  Since this was a very old debt, they may have been trying to collect on it far past expiration of SOL, taking advantage of government guaranteed student loans not having a SOL.

877-242-7372 appears to be directly from Chase.  Are you getting the same type of calls from this number, or do they say who they are trying to reach?

"How do I stop a tax payment after the Account Debit Date cutoff?
You may initiate a Payment Reversal Request after the 6:30 p.m. ET cutoff on the Account Debit Date or up to five Bank Business Days after the Tax Payment Date by contacting Chase Customer Service at 1-877-CHASEPC (1-877-242-7372). Do not use Message Center for reversals. Initiation of a reversal is not a guarantee that the funds will be returned. Fees apply for each Payment Reversal Request initiated. "

This company called my home phone today and did not leave a message. It appeared on the call ID Northland Group phone # 952-831-2103. I do not have any bad debt so I will be filing a complaint online with the Do Not call website and everyone else should do the same when being illegally harassed.

    You got it
I received a notice recently from Northland Group regarding a 15 yr old debt.
If my memory serves me correctly, I dont owe them a dime.
Should I pay them anyway so as not to have my credit rating lowered?
    Please somebody help!

    Me
No, do not pay them!Check your credit reports, if the debt from 15 years ago is on there, dispute it & demand deletion of the item.If it's on there, that's illegal, they have to delete a debt that old.

    angry, harrassed,not even my problem
This company leaves computor messages routinly on my answering machine for a person who does not live at this address or number. I have had this tele# since 1982 and do not have info on the person they are leaving messages for. Do they listen,NO! They violate the HIPA regulations by naming the person and say it is for debt collection within the recorded message and try to disclaim the violation by saying "if you are not the person named please hang up now". It is my phone,my personal, private phone.
This problem has caused me to turn off my answering maching for the second time in the last three years. Why can companies invade the lives of people they are not even supose to be doing business with and continue to do it.
What recourse do we have to make them correct their calling lists, their records, etc?

    irritated
I recently had the "pleasure" of working at the Northland group, during which time, I have to say that their working culture is TERRIBLE. ANYONE looking for a job, gets the opportunity to work them, please decline. Not only are the premises bordering on jail like atmosphere but the managers are absolutely stupid and dont know that someone who joins new requires certain training period to be able to get on board their systems.
