Fraudulent charge
Complaint

Country: United States
I just happened to check my balance and saw a charge for $149.99 from Digital Star. Called the bank and they said they'd have to wait until it cleared to dispute it. I then googled it online and found this site. As soon as I saw the same charges I called them back to shut down that account. Glad I saw this. What a pian in the ass--how do that do this sleep at night?
Comments
If they lost sleep over it, they would be someone else.
Debit cards are defective banking products. They expose your checking account to this risk of missing funds, even if they eventually are returned. The banks are clearly not on top of getting on top of this type of fraud, and blocking it at the source.
Block your debit cards, and do NOT have your bank reissue a new debit card.
Limit your online and retail purchases to credit cards. The banks are much more prompt at protecting their money than yours.

If you are getting fraudulent charges, IMMEDIATELY block the card number, and submit a fraud dispute to your bank. Your bank can reverse fraudulent charges if you dispute promptly.
