Fraudulent charges

In August 2012 I hired a car from Europcar at Gibralta Airport. On returning 3 days later the clutch failed as I drove uphill. I called Europcar and they recovered me...but not to Gibralta Airport but to Algeciras. I asked to be taken to Gibralta Airport but the garage refused - they said they had no arrangement with Europcar to do this. So I had to get a taxi and only just managed to get my flight. I complained but instead of an explanation they billed me £500 for abuse of the clutch!!!!!. I have been driving 25 years and never had a problem. This was an entirely spurious claim - and guess what - my damage waiver that I had paid extra didnt cover accidental engine damage!!!!!. Europcar refused to move from their stance.

There is a Fiat Panda at Europcar in Gibralta that is set up for scams! Beware and DO NOT TRUST EUROPCAR
