Received 2 calls from this number, only the 2nd one I answered. Male had thick accent and when I asked who he was and the reference he hung up. Very STRANGE!! Then I googled the number and saw all these posts re: same. This number needs to be given to the FBI, CIA or another agency to track this person and stop this scammer. INNOCENT people and their identities could be compromised. SEE something, HEAR something...... DO SOMETHING.

Complaints only go back about a month, which is typical of fraudulent scammers.
They often use cheap VoIP phone service, and change their numbers every month or so.

Reportedly, they are running some sort of "government grant" scam.
Thick accents may indicate the callers are from India.
With cheap VoIP, every crook in the world is sitting around cooking up ways to con Americans, 'cause that's where the money is.
Don't respond to their threats.
You might even tell them the call is being recorded by the FBI.
Or call them back repeatedly and harass them back.
Or just keep hanging up.
They typically move on once they realize you anen't going to fall for it.
