CAR RENTAL FROM EUROPCAR . I WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN.

After receiving THE INVOICE, I noticed that EUROPCAR had charged me 121.8 Euros to my Visa for : 1) Glasses and wires, 2) Special Equipment Rental, 3) Other Surcharges.
That charge is considered ILLEGAL.
JUSTIFICATION:
1) Glasses and wires: NEVER ASKED FOR THAT.
2) Special Equipment Rental: FOR "wearing" the orange "safety plastic jacket" that was existed inside the car. That jacket existed when I picked up the car and left from me inside the car when I returned the car. That jacket is a “mandatory by the law” tool and should be existed in every car. I was charged for the use of something that should be existed by the law? ........... If I had a “tyre flat” and I had to use the appropriate tools to change the tyre. I would be charged for using these tools??? That’s an interesting point of view.
3) Other Surcharges: According to the information I was given when I bought the extra cover ("SUPER LDW")I was fully covered if I had an accident OF MY FAULT. BUT I will be charged an amount of 75 Euros (plus 20% VAT) for “administrative documents”. But.... I was charged that amount because of an accident which was NOT OF MY FAULT for the SO-CALLED administrative documents (WITCH YOU WILL NEVER SEE ....)
NONE of the EUROPCAR'S employees AT ANY TIME ...... informed me that I WILL BE CHARGED an amount of 75 Euros (plus 20% VAT) FOR ACCIDENTS I WILL BE INVOLVED ... EVEN IF IT IS NOT MY FAULT.!!!!
EUROPCAR will have the car completely repaired without any cost from her side (since the car is new with less than 10000 Km) and .... will gain 75 euros from me..... for creating… the “so-called” “administrative documents”.
If I had 10 more accidents because 10 “careless” Italian drivers hit me from behind … because they drive their car like an aeroplane…. I would be charged 10 x 75 Euros (= 750 Euros) plus 20% VAT? And in all these cases EUROPCAR will have the car COMPLETELY and FULLY REPAIRED?
I would be charged 750 Euros (plus 20% VAT) for “SO-CALLED” EUROPCAR’S “ADMINISTRATIVE DOCUMENTS” (…… which I will never see)?
THAT’S AN INTERESTING POLICY THAT YOU SHOULD HIGHLIGHT AT THE EUROPCAR’S SITE.!!
WHY I HAVE TO PAY THIS AMOUNT AND NOT THE OTHER DRIVER, THAT HIT ME FROM BEHIND ? SHE WAS THE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCIDENT ……… NOT ME.
EUROPCAR MUST FIND AND CHARGE HER CREDIT CARD…. NOT MINE. IF HE REFUSES TO PAY ….. FOR THE “SO-CALLED” ADMINISTRATIVE DOCUMENTS” TAKE ALL THE LEGAL MEASUREMENTS AGAINST HER IN ORDER TO MAKE HER PAY.
THAT’S SOUNDS MORAL, REASONABLE AND CORRECT .
It SEEMS that EUROPCAR'S POLICY is the following:
“WE DON’T HAVE THE CREDIT CARD OF THE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCIDENT …… BUT WE HAVE AVAILABLE THE CREDIT CARD OF THE DRIVER WHO IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACCIDENT. SO WHAT WE DO? ………WE CHARGE THAT CREDIT CARD EVEN IF IT IS NOT THE APPROPRIATE CREDIT CARD…..!!
That’s an ANOTHER interesting point of view………
It was my first booking with EUROPCAR and was done under the auspices by EYSYJET AIRLINES (promotes by the EYSYJET's site). I have already booked with other Rental Car Companies having no lateral problems.
Having assessed the EUROPCAR’s employee behaviour, the “based on facts” EUROPCAR's policy and the amounts they have charged to my Credit Card, I REALIZE that the EUROPCAR's POLICY might is:
"LET THE CUSTOMER ... RETURN TO HIS COUNTRY.... AND THEN CHARGE HIS CREDIT CARD WITH WHATEVER WE WANT..... ". That’s an ADDITIONAL interesting point of view………
After all the above mentioned ……………… the matter is NOT THE AMOUNT OF 121.8 Euros but ………….”IT IS THE SAKE of CONSISTENCY, MUTUAL TRUST, CLARITY and PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR FROM YOUR SIDE”.
I HAVE SEND TWICE A DETAILED LETTER TO EUROPCAR BUT NEVER RECEIVED ANY REPLY..
AFTER THE ABOVE MENTIONED I REALIZE THAT EUROPCAR DOES NOT ACT PROFESSIONALLY ... WITH RESPECT TO THE CUSTOMER AND ... I ...... WILL NEVER ....NEVER ...NEVER .... RENT A CAR FROM THAT COMPANY.
