NON-RECEIPT OF GOODS AGAINST ORDER NO. MITBC-WEB-01078059 DATED OCTOBER 22, 2008

I placed an order with India Today Book Club (Order No. MITBC-WEB-01078059) on October 22, 2008. The payment (Rs. 2598/-) was made by me (through credit card) at the time of placing this order itself.
The same day, I received the payment confirmation from India Today Book Club through an email from payment@offers.indiatodaybookclub.com.
It's been more than 35 days now and despite my regular follow up (written as well as oral), I have not received the goods. Three days back, to my utmost surprise, I was informed by one of their customer care executives over phone that the goods ordered by me are unavailable and I may send an email at order@indiatodaybookclub.com requesting for refund. When I asked them to refund my money, I was informed that it would take them 45 days to refund.
What the hell is this??? Are the customers treated as fools in India??? Should we start disbelieving giants like India Today??? I am seriously unhappy with this deal of mine and request everybody to be aware of such traps!!!
I will definitely try my level best to teach them a lesson and won't be afraid of taking a legal action against this company as well.
