If you are receiving harassing calls from any debt collector, contact FTC to report all violations.

If a debt collector is calling you in error, and they fail to cease calling when you request, you might contact Mathews Law Group, in San Marino CA.  They have recently filed several class action lawsuits against debt collectors over alleged violations of TCPA.

Their whole business model is built of buying really old debt, really cheaply, and collecting on it anyway, even when there may be no documentation or other proof available.

It's easier to harass you that your ex.  The alleged debtor would know whether the debt was paid, or whether SOL had expired.  You don't know any of that, and since you are female, you are easier to threaten, deceive, and harass.  That maximizes the payoff.
