In 2007, André Slade gave up his corporate image and retired to the coast. His great love for Scuba diving, the outdoors and the hospitality industry was the drive to settle down in Sodwana Bay. He started building Sodwana Bay Guest house in October 2007 after the property was prepared. Being in this remote area was quite a challenge as most of the building materials had to be collected from suppliers no less than 200km away. The basic house was completed in February 2008.

The Guest house took its first guests in December 2008. I was busy with the restaurant when I started writing my first book, so it went on hold for five years, please excuse the entrance.

Katarína joined Me from Slovakia in November 2012, after completing graphic design high school, ... not wanting to go with the flow but looking for the answers, She booked a one-way ticket, and The Universe has brought Her here. Together We spent Our time writing and researching the truth. Our final publication was released October 2014 under the name Where to from Here, Cognition.

In a strive to go green, a sewerage purification plant from Calcamite was installed. Feng Shui design philosophy was also applied in the house design. The next step is to generate wind power.

    Durban – A KwaZulu-Natal based radio presenter said she was reeling after interviewing Sodwana Bay Guest House owner, Andre Slade on Thursday afternoon.

    “I knew that there was hatred but I did not know that someone could hate you so deeply because of the colour of your skin. It’s shocking,” said Vuma FM presenter Jacinta Ngobese, 28 - who is herself black - of her interview with Slade during her lunch time radio show, The Brunch.

    Slade was interviewed during the show, which aired between 09:00 and 12:00 on Thursday.

    Slade made headlines on Thursday after an e-mail he sent to a would-be visitor to Sodwana Bay Guest House in northern KwaZulu-Natal, went viral. The e-mail read, “Hi. We do not accommodate blacks or government officials any longer.”

    His name is André Slade. He is the owner of Sodwana Bay Guest House. Black people are not allowed in his lodge. He says “BLACKS” are not allowed to stay at his guest house because “it’s God's law” to segregate people by race.
    To those who know the Bible, are we not allowed to use the same lodge with Whites according to the Bible?

    Sodwana Bay guest house in KZN, apparently they don't cater for government people or "BLACKS" in particular which is quite distasteful in the new South Africa ESPECIALLY since they provide a service that's requiring contacts with their customers RACISM.

    Andre Martin Slade, owner of Sodwana bay guest house is racist. Everyone should be allowed to enjoy Sodwana bay ,black or white. This thing of hating someone because s|he looks different or believe on something different from you ,must stop...."I'm white ,you black", " I am Christian, you Muslim", "I Am straight, you gay" "I am educated, you not". Culture and religion must stop teaching hate.

    I am disgusted and appalled with Enki André M Slade, who manages Sodwana Bay Guest House in KwaZulu-Natal. Slade responded to an email from a black person enquiring about accommodation at this guest house in this manner:
    "Hi. We do not accommodate black or government officials any longer."
    His email contained the following post script: Proverbs 29:2, which reads: "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn

    Slade is out of order Tim. People like him are obsessed with wealth and forget ground zero. Yet going down is not safe landing for his unholdly outburst. He may boast but know that this will haunt him too.
