This phone # keeps calling 488-462-9014.  Today they called three times and said they were officer so and so looking for so and so.  They don't stop calling.  I've looked this number up online and there's been many complaints.  The caller is of Indian decent.

    From other complaints they sound like Indian based "debt collection" scammers.  There are numerous complaints against them, and they appear to have gotten access to old payday loan information, and possibly U.S. consumer credit report data, allowing them to fabricate the appearance of debt collection on a possible loan.

    They are generally reported to make false claims to be investigators, officers or police, attorneys, etc, and threaten to immediately jail their victims if money isn't wired immediately, typically via Western Union (that is another tip-off that this is a scam).

    The West Virginia Attorney General, ABC News, and Florida Attorney General have warnings about them.  They are reported to be a spin-off of a Florida-based debt collector that had an Indian call center, but got shut down by the Florida Attorney General for abusive and threatening collection tactics.  They are also reported to be connected to a network of payday lenders, of questionable legality in a number of states, again with an Indian connection.

    As for their threats, they can't carry them out.  Contact your local police, state AG, FTC, etc, to report the threats and impersonating a law enforcement officer.

    i have been getting theses calls since january 09 i have reported to the police dept,and i still get this calls now there are calling my work someone needs to stop them IT'S GETTING VERY ANNOYING . I HAVE REPORTED TO THE BBB,
    THE GENERAL COMMISSIONS OFFICE, AND THEY STILL CALL AT ALL HOURS,ON MY CELL,MY HOME AND NOW MY WORK THIS NEEDS TO STOP NOW
