Country: Australia
This guy hosting the millionaire show on channel nine should apologize to thee Jamaicans living overseas as well as those living in Jamaica. On Monday evening 20th of June 2016 at about five thirty Australian time. There was a gentleman in the hot seat who said that,he went to Jamaica on holidays and apparently something has happened to thee extent where he got robbed by a Jamaican national. However, what really gotten me disturbed was the show host making references with the song dreadlocks holiday by 10cc.That was transcending a bad reputation for thee island of Jamaica based on thee lyrical content of the music per say. Why,try to stigmatized the whole country when it was one person who may have done wrong to the gentleman? I am a Jamaican Australian and twice i was robbed by a white Australian in Sydney. My car was spat on George Street with Bob Marley and Haile Selassie stickers. Recently,i got spat by a white Australian during busking on that same George Street towards the Queen Victoria Building adjacent to Woolworth Supermarket. Should i say that, the whole of Australia spat on me? No! On thee other hand,i have just noticed that,if am singing War by Bob Marley the white population would think that,am sending them a message in the same way as the show host has done here with dreadlocks holiday. As a matter of fact, the white Australians love that song symbolising a blackman with dreadlocks. Is a crook! So,music in general has its translational form of understanding both psychologically and sociologically in its creative senses of craftsmanship.Knowledge increases everyday for us to learn about the behaviours of human beings on issues pertaining to music. An Islamic man told me that,it is forbidden unto the will of God to listen to songs that makes you feel sad. Love songs comes in that category. I can feel those reasons involved as it relates to music right now! What you listen to may harm your spiritual well being into becoming a psycho-path. Highly I Selassie I Jah Rastafari.Food for thoughts!
