I took my mentally challenged roommate for her bday dinner and I was very disappointed because the cost was a bit more than I was expecting. I frequent this restaurant because I enjoy this location and I enjoy the food. The food I ordered was OK but not all of it. I ordered the create your own which I had never done so I wanted to try something different. I didn't see the fine print where it said there was a 2.99 extra charge if you ordered the crab legs or the steak. Of course that's what I ordered. My bad. My niece did the same without the steak. My steak did not taste right so I set it aside. Since I didn't like the steak, they gave me a dessert but still charged for the steak. When I went on my bday, I was given a complimentary dessert at no charge which I thought was nice. I told them it was my roommate's bday so she got her bday song but no dessert. I know I had no right to expect the complimentary dessert, but I did and I had already told her so I did pay for it along with the $15.00 extra unexpected charges. I'm very disappointed with red lobster and I don't see myself returning in the future.
