Overcharges, misleading billing, unauthorized charges

I wish that I had read that CheapOAir.com has a “F” rating on the Better Business Bureau before I gave them my Chase card. Stay away from CheapOAir. Run,walk, fly (just don’t book your flight through CheapOair!  You can read the online reviews, thousands of complaints!  I had to cancel one flight (within 24 hours per their policy and you get a full refund minus a $75 cancelation fee) When I got my statement not only did I not get refunded but saw an overcharge of $687.41.  They bill in weird confusing increments, $29.97, 74.82 and so on, having 10 separate charges for one flight.

I’ve spent hours speaking with overseas agents being shuffled to various departments:  billing, refund, supervisors, specialist, the accounting office and on and on.  Still, after nearly 2 months of emails, various call and No refund as they continue to “ investigate.”   Plus, I found cheaper flights on Travelocity and JustFLY.  I am on hold now with CheapOair as I write this. Their hold music is the same as the IRS’s hold music, hardly calming. Another tactic they use, is disconnecting your call after long holds… sometimes up to 30 minutes, then they come back on the line… saying “hello”, “hello” and claiming not to be able to hear you and hang up.  The point is if you value your time, your money, your sanity and you don’t want to be ripped off, stay away form CheapOair.  Oh, now, and they just discounted me again!

Case has been resolved, customer booked 3 tickets and later called and canceled out one. Her  ticket was voided therefore she was expecting to see an actual refund on her cc, but it was never reported. Her bank did a conference call with us, and the cch, and all of this was explained.
