no service personnel for foreseeable suture?

After upgrading my DirecTV dish and receivers they worked for one day. then I get a '775' error message stating that receiver cannot communicate with dish! I call in they say they'll have a tech come but it's 8 days from this call. I say OK since we're in a small town. The day they're scheduled they call and say we aren't coming. Nothing else.
I call DirecTV and am told that there are  appointments available in the foreseeable future!
I cancelled immediately.
I guess since they're #1 they don't need our business.
I hate DirecTV
