Complaint

It took Direct TV three trips and five complaints to correctly install the satellite dish.  Have been a varyingly “happy”customer for the past 10+ years. We recently had a roofing estimator step through an overhanging eave next to the dish. DTV’s repeated failed attempts at installing the dish ten years ago left undetected holes which caused the surrounding area to rot over the next ten years. They’ve denied the claim since the damage was caused greater than ten years ago. Tough to report a claim you don’t know exists. Anybody else come up against anything like this?

I had the SAME problem!!!  AdComm is the company who handles the claims for DirecTV's faulty satellite dish installation now.  They will look for any excuse to deny your claim.  The letter that stated that "upper management concluded that there was no proof that the dish caused the damage."  They, like you, also told me that I took too long to notice the damage.  (I saw the damage after a few years but I had no idea it was being caused by the dish until I finally had the money and time to get roof estimates.  Both roofers said that it was a faulty satellite dish installation and that the dish wasn't sealed.  Not that it wasn't sealed properly, but it wasn't sealed AT ALL.

Horrible, horrible, horrible and extremely unprofessional experience.  I'm disappointed that AT&T would be associated with a company like AdComm.  Now I have to file a complaint against them just to get what they owe me for the damage to my roof, attic and ceiling.
