returns and poor service

I wish I had done my research on this one. I ordered some curtains, used my Paypal, and since I had over two weeks until the party I was throwing, chose regular shipping. The paypal account was charged immediately. When I clicked on the tracking number on the email, it said my order would be shipped in 2-3 days. For several days. After two weeks, and no curtains, I tried again. The tracking receipt still said the same thing. So I emailed them. I received a confusing email that had a new tracking receipt. This one indicated the order shipped the day I emailed(the day before) and would arrive two days after the party. I emailed them and indicated that was too late. They said the item was on back order(there was no prior indication that that was the case) and shipped when available.
I found out when I got the order the reason they were so relaxed about customer service. Between shipping costs and their 10% restocking fee, it would have cost me $8 to return my $10 curtains. What a scam.
There are plenty of online companies that do a great job, give you options when something is inadvertently out of stock, and accept returns when the item isn't right. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!!! Shop elsewhere and warn your friends about this company.
