sim card registration failed

My airtel number is 9894753886.Actually I have changed my number from postpaid to prepaid.I got new sim for it.But,it is not working.Whenever i put the in my mobile it always shows that sim card registration failed.Help me for resolve this problem.Still i didnt even got tower to activate my sim.
