I received a call from 1-678-486-1027 and they left a message sighing a slammed down the phone.Tryed to call number back and no result to tell them to take me off their list.Also am already on the do not disturb list.Please if any1 knows who this is please tell me

    Appears to be some Indian call center, variously reported to be Nationwide Credit, which is a collection agency used by Amex, as well as several other companies doing telemarketing.

    678-486-1027 is Amerigroup, Illinois.  A medical insurance firm.  They do not have a good reputation and have been sued for millions.  "

    Yep, two calls and an e-mail (after I gave him the addess) today, supposedly from bayareacredit.com regarding an ambulance ride of my father's in 2003! Refused to give him or his supervisor (all with very strong accents) any credit card or checking acocunt info after they had Dad's address totally wrong.

    678-486-1027 AMERIGROUP IL appeared on my caller ID. Caller refused to identify himself or leave a number. He wanted to speak to someone I knew, but claimed he could not reach them himself. Spoke perfect English but was possibly a Spanish speaker with Mexican accent.

    Got a phone call from this number on my home phone looking for my ex boyfriend and info on him. When i went to call the number back a gentlemen by the name of Terrence picked up... He says he gets these calls alot saying that he called ppl from that number but it wasnt him. Told him to contact his cell provider to document this and possibly change his phone number. I am not sure this is unethical practices!
